Civilian Complaints Review Board Hold Special Board Meeting on NYPD Disciplinary Matrix

The New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) will hold a special board meeting on Friday, Jan. 29 at 12:00 p.m. to discuss the NYPD’s disciplinary matrix. Claremont: Police Search for 16-Year-Old Missing Boy

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Adrian Lawrence, 16, of 1450 Clay Avenue in the Claremont section of the Bronx who was reported missing on January 25, 2021 in the 44th precinct.   It was reported to police that Adrian was last seen at his home at 11.30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. First Cohort of Business Owners Graduate from Lehman’s Emerging Tech Mentorship Program

Twenty-eight small business owners in the Bronx are the first cohort of students to complete an emerging technology mentorship program piloted by Lehman College’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) in conjunction with the Verizon Foundation.   Under the initiative, which launched in October, the business owners participated in eight hours of technology training via Zoom. Montefiore Health System launches New Robotic Joint Replacement Program

This month, Montefiore Health System launched its new robotic joint replacement program led by Dr. Carlos Alvarado who recently joined the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Montefiore is one of the first programs in the area to utilize the new surgical robot called ROSA – Robotic Surgical Assistant. Over one million total hip and total knee replacement procedures are performed each year in the United States. Mott Haven: 37-Year-Old Woman Dies in Residential Building, Investigation Ongoing

  On Monday, Jan. 25, 2021 at around 5 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided person on East 137th Street (Mitchel Houses) in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, in the 40th precinct (PSA#7). Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old woman, unconscious and unresponsive, laying in the bathroom of an apartment at the location.   EMS responded and pronounced the woman deceased at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.   The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.

Williamsbridge: Police Search for Three People following Shooting Incident

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the three individuals seen in the attached photo and video who are wanted for questioning in connection with a reckless endangerment incident that occurred in the 47th precinct.   On Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at around 3.44 a.m., in the vicinity of 801 Bartholdi Street in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx, three unknown individuals got into a parked vehicle at the location, and as they fled to parts unknown, they discharged several rounds through the sunroof window.   No injuries or property damage was reported
