The Kingsbridge Road Merchants Association presents the Unity in the Community Neighborhood Festival, to raise awareness of the diverse array of merchants in the district, on June 23, noon to 6 p.m., along Aqueduct Avenue between West Kingsbridge Road and 192nd Street. Come celebrate the first day of summer in Williamsbridge Oval Park in Norwood on Thursday June 21 at 6 p.m. as local band Fort Indy fills the Oval with rock, funk and blues. The live concert is part of MakeMusicNY a citywide initiative that rings in summer with free music in public spaces.

Be Healthy!: With Budget Cuts Looming, Grant Helps Center Help Youth Stay Fit
Participants of the Bronx Nutrition and Fitness Initiative program (B’ N’ Fit) at PS 8 were awarded a grant from the Coca-Cola Foundation that will help the program continue to support nutritional education and physical fitness in light of Mayor Bloomberg’s proposed budget cuts to afterschool programs.
