Wakefield: 44-Year-Old Male Shot on Sunday, May 24

On Sunday, May 24, 2020 at about 0:42 a.m., in the vicinity of 4420 White Plains Road in the Wakefield area of the Bronx, within the confines of the 47th precinct, police responded to a report that a 44-year-old male was shot once in the abdomen area, and once in a leg by an unknown individual. The victim was transported to Jacobi hospital in stable condition. On Sunday, May 24, 2020 police responded to a complaint of an incident at 15:20 p.m. at 2705 Marion Avenue in the Fordham Manor area of the Bronx, within the confines of the 52nd precinct. A 29-year-old male reported to police that a 35-year-old female, who was in possession of a knife and who was making verbal threats, climbed the fire escape and began to hit the window. Police responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at approximately 23:14 p.m. in the vicinity of West 190th Street and Webb Avenue, in the Fordham Manor area of the Bronx, within the confines of the 52nd precinct. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were informed that an 18-year-old male victim was shot during a verbal dispute. Alternate Side Parking will be suspended once again starting tomorrow Sunday, 24 May in accordance with the Alternate Side Parking calendar which takes into account religious holidays such as Idul-Fitr (Eid Al-Fitr). Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine announced on May 21 that they were the first sites in the nation to begin evaluating an investigational drug in two separate, FDA-approved trials: one to treat mild-to-moderate cases of COVID-19, and the other to treat severely ill COVID-19 patients.
