DEC Launches Artwork Poster Contest Celebrating Trees, Deadline Dec. 31

Update: Arrest Made in Connection with Murder of Dante Young

  On Monday, Oct. 12, 2020 at around 6:37 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot inside 1486 Vyse Avenue in the 42nd precinct, in the Bronx. Upon arrival, police observed a 31-year-old man, who was unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso.   EMS responded and pronounced the man deceased at the scene. Fordham Manor: NYPD Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying Two Burglary Suspects

    The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying two individuals who appear in the attached surveillance video and photos in connection with a commercial burglary that occurred in Fordham Manor, in the 52nd precinct.   On Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at approximately 5.30 a.m., at 127 East Fordham Road (Fordham Jewelry), two unidentified men cut a hole in the roof and gained entry to the jewelry store, using a ladder. Once inside, the individuals removed approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry.   The individuals later fled in a tan Chevy Tahoe to parts unknown.
