Police have made a further arrest in the murder case of Katherine Diop, 29, who was killed in Fordham Manor in June 2021.   As previously reported, on Wednesday, June 16, at approximately 11.24 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at East 194th Street and Marion Avenue, in Fordham Manor, in the 52nd precinct.   Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals with gunshot wounds: a 31-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds about his body, and a 29-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her torso.   EMS also responded to the location

13-Year-Old Boy Shot in Belmont, Dies

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a person who had been shot in front of 743 East 187th Street in Belmont, in the 48th precinct, on Sunday, July 11, at approximately 3.18 p.m.   Upon arrival, police observed a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his chest and leg. Consecration of African Burial Ground at Van Cortlandt Park on Juneteenth

Van Cott Post Office Briefly Shuts for Repairs

  The United States Postal Service (USPS) Van Cott branch in Norwood is apparently back open following a temporary closure lasting nearly two weeks, and despite confirmation from USPS that the branch would remain closed until Friday, July 11.
