Claremont Park Shooting: One Dead, Three Injured, including an 11-Year-Old Boy

UPDATE Laconia: 26-Year-Old Man Dies following Residential Shooting

A 26-year-old man is dead following a shooting in the Laconia section of the Bronx.   On Saturday, Sept. 18, at approximately 10.35 p.m., police responded to a call regarding an assault which occurred inside 3400 Wickham Avenue, located in the 47th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old man lying unconscious and unresponsive in the hallway with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.   EMS responded and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.  The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.

Alternating Overnight Exit Ramp Closures from Hamilton Bridge to Major Deegan Expressway, Sept 20-22
