UPDATE Concourse: 6-Year-Old Boy in Critical Condition after Elevator Shaft Fall
The NYPD confirmed a 6-year-old boy has fallen down an elevator shaft of a building in the Concourse section of The Bronx and remains in critical condition. The incident happened at 12.35 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, at 1235 Grand Concourse, a multiple, residential Co-op building, in the Concourse neighborhood, comprising 130 residential units. The boy was transported to Harlem Hospital, where he is being treated. Officials from both the NYPD and New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) were at the scene.
