National Weather Service NYC Says Dense Fog Expected until Saturday, May 14 at 10 A.M.

The New York City office of the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a dense fog advisory which is in effect until Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m.   Visibility of one quarter mile or less is expected in portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut and in the southeast of New York State. Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility are also expected. Residents are requested, if driving, to slow down, use the vehicle’s headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of your vehicle.    

UPDATE Bedford Park: Renewed Search for Baby Catherine’s Shooter as Mayor Calls to Cancel Largest Ghost Gun Supplier

The NYPD is renewing its call in asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photographs and video who is sought in connection with the non-fatal shooting in January of then 11-month-old “Baby Catherine” in Bedford Park.   As reported by Norwood News at the time, police said on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at approximately 6.45 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding the infant who had been shot at East 198th Street and Valentine Avenue, located in the 52nd precinct. “Upon arrival, officers observed an 11-month-old baby girl with a gunshot wound to the face,”

Earth Day Celebrated at Woodlawn, Bronx Community College & Across The Bronx

Van Cortlandt Park: One Person Transported to Montefiore Hospital following Collision

Fordham Heights: Two Sought for Smashing Store Window & Jewelry Theft Worth $131,000

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached photo and video who are sought in connection with a burglary that occurred in Fordham Heights.   It was reported to police that on Friday, April 29, at around 3.56 p.m., at a jewelry store located at 2155 Grand Concourse, the two approached the business and smashed the front window. Wakefield: Two Men Arrested and Charged with Murder of 46-Year-Old Man on March 10

A 24-year-old man and a 61-year-old man have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Wakefield on March 10. On Thursday, March 10, at approximately 00.14 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at 730 East 227th Street, located in the 47th precinct in Wakefield.   Upon arrival, police observed a 46-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest.
