Wakefield: Two Arrested in Major Seizure of “Rainbow Fentanyl” Pills and Powdered Fentanyl 

Two men have been charged in connection with the seizure of around 300,000 fentanyl pills, in assorted colors, and another 20 pounds (10 kilos) of fentanyl in powdered form from a drug stash location in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, according to Bridget G. UPDATE Motorcyclist Dies following Collision with Barrier at Orchard Beach Parking Lot, ex-Shelter Site

A 58-year-old male motorcyclist has died following a fatal road accident at the entrance to the site of a since-abandoned shelter targeted for asylum seekers at the entrance to Orchard Beach parking lot.   On Friday, Oct. 14, at around 6.51 p.m., police from the 45th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding the collision which occurred on Park Drive at the entrance/exit to Orchard Beach parking lot.   A police spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, officers observed a 58-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma about the head and body.” The spokesperson added, “EMS responded to the location and transported

Highbridge: Permits Filed for New Building including Shelter Despite Some Community Pushback

  Permits have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new 15-story, mixed-use building at 1298 Inwood Avenue in the Highbridge section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.   Located between West 169th Street and Clarke Place West, the lot is 3-minute walk from the 170th Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Fordham Manor: Search for Missing 75-Year-Old Man

The NYPD is seeking the public’s help locating a 75-year-old man reported missing in Fordham Manor.   Officers from the 52nd Precinct said Nigel Bloomfield of 50 East 191st Street, Bronx, NY was last seen Friday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m., leaving his home.   He is described as being around 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs around 175 pounds, has a medium build, black eyes and black hair.   He was last seen wearing dark pants and a blue shirt with a red stripe. NYPD Announces Proposed Rules for Obtaining a Firearm License   

The NYPD announced on Friday, Oct. 14, that the agency is releasing proposed rules concerning the issuance of firearm licenses. According to agency, the proposed rules seek to amend gun licensing standards in light of the Supreme Court decision in the case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Ass’n v. Bruen, 142 S. Ct. 2111 (2022), as well as recent statewide legislation governing gun licensing. Fordham Manor: Man Sought by Police following Capital One Bank Robbery
