Bronx Man Charged in Dog’s Death; Allegedly Slammed Animal’s Head on Table, Killing Him Instantly

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on April 13 that a Bronx man was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals for allegedly killing a 7-year-old Pomeranian dog during an argument with his ex-girlfriend.   In the context of the announcement, Clark said, “This was a spectacularly brutal act of animal abuse. MTA to Perform Switch Replacement Work on B, D, F, M Lines between May and July

The NYPD said a 15-year-old boy from the Bedford Park section of The Bronx who had been reported missing on Saturday, April 29, was located on May 6.   Prior to being located, police said Oumar Diarrassouba of Briggs Avenue had last been seen on Monday, April 24, at around 7 a.m., leaving his home. Bedford Park: Local Man Charged in Valentine Avenue Shooting

  A 25-year-old local man was arrested for attempted murder and other charges following a daylight shooting in Bedford Park earlier this month.   Officers from the 52nd Precinct were called to Valentine Avenue and East 197th Street for a report of shots fired on Saturday, April 15.
