NYC Sanitation Confirm There WILL be Trash, Compost and Recycling Collection on June 19

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) has announced its trash, compost and recycling collection schedule for Juneteenth, June 19, 2023, advising that there will be trash collection on the holiday in line with the Department’s mission to get New York City cleaner, faster.   DSNY officials said that residents who normally receive Monday trash and composting collection should put their material at the curb on Sunday evening, June 18, for collection starting Monday, and residents who normally receive Monday recycling collection should put their material at the curb Monday evening, June 19, for collection starting Tuesday.   They said residents could experience

Bronx Woman Gets 20 Years to Life for 2012 “Execution Style” Murder of Girlfriend, 26

Bedford Park: Search for 15-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing

The NYPD is appealing to the public for help locating a 15-year-old girl reported missing from Bedford Park on Thursday, June 15.   Police said that Jade Lantigua of 320 East Mosholu Parkway, was last seen on Tuesday, June 13, at around 3 p.m., leaving Bronx Theater School in Spuyten Duyvil. She is described by police as female, Hispanic, is around 4 feet tall, and weighs around 110 pounds. Regular riders of the Bx12 bus who complain that most days the buses are crowded, and that there are not enough of them can look to the latest findings from both the Metropolitan Transportation Administration (MTA) and NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) for confirmation.
