Bedford Park: Woman Stabbed in Chest on BX41 MTA Bus

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual seen in the attached video and photograph who is wanted for questioning in connection with an assault that occurred in the 52nd precinct.

 

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at approximately 2.15 p.m., inside a BX41 MTA bus, which was stopped at 2953 Webster Avenue in Bedford Park, the individual pushed a 61-year-old man off the bus. When the man’s wife, a 42-year-old woman, confronted the assailant about his actions, he stabbed her in the chest.

 

The assailant then got off the bus and fled the scene on foot, westbound, along Bedford Park Boulevard.

 

EMS transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital with a collapsed lung; she was listed as being in stable condition.

The individual is described as a bearded man, Black, who was last seen wearing a black and purple baseball cap, a yellow hooded sweater, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
