Police said they have arrested a 45-year-old man for attempted murder following a stabbing at the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station serving the D train earlier this month.
As reported, the NYPD had appealed to the public for help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who they said was wanted in connection with the assault.
As also previously reported, police said that on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at around 8 p.m., a 40-year-old male victim was exiting a northbound “D” train at the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station platform when he got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified person.
They said the person stabbed the victim in the chest, causing a laceration, EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. They said the suspect fled the location on foot to parts unknown.

Police went on to say that the suspect was described as male, had a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, a black sweatshirt, black pants, and a gray winter hat.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, on Tuesday, Dec. 23, police said they arrested Gabriel Irizzary from the Bedford Park section of The Bronx at 9.10 a.m. within the confines of the 49th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Allerton, Morris Park, Van Nest, Pelham Parkway, Eastchester Gardens, and Pelham Gardens.
They said he’s been charged with attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
