Bedford Park: Man Sought for Following Woman into Building & Groping Her

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they say is wanted in connection with a groping incident that occurred in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx.

 

Police said that on Wednesday, May 13, at around 6 p.m., after a 32-year-old woman entered a residential building located in the vicinity of East 195th Street and Decatur Avenue, an unidentified man followed her and grabbed her buttocks.

 

They said the suspect then fled the location on foot traveling eastbound on East 195th Street to parts unknown. They said there were no physical injuries reported as a result of the incident.

Police said the suspect is described as male, and was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, a gray sweatshirt, burgundy sweatpants, and multi-colored sneakers.

 

Police are also searching for a man sought for allegedly groping a second man aboard the D train as it was approaching the Tremont Avenue subway station on Sunday, May 3.

 

A 27-year-old man was shot in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx on Saturday night, May 16. Meanwhile, another man was hospitalized following a separate shooting, reportedly at close range, on Friday night, May 15, at East 198th Street between Bainbridge Avenue and Briggs Avenue in Bedford Park. Another man was killed aboard a 1 train in the Fieldston section of The Bronx in the early hours of Wednesday morning, May 13.
