Bedford Park: Illegal Scooter Crackdown Continues

Police officers from the 52nd Precinct are continuing to remove illegal scooters from local roads. Uniformed officers driving in an unmarked, black SUV were seen apparently stopping a scooter rider on Thursday, May 8, in Bedford Park.

 

Norwood News observed the scene at the corner of East 198th Street and Briggs Avenue at 1.45 p.m.

Two officers got back into their unmarked SUV and drove off while two other uniformed officers waited with the scooter for a second vehicle to arrive and transport it to the precinct. The driver of the scooter was not seen. Despite repeated requests, the NYPD was unable to provide any information on the incident.
