Bedford Park: 77-Year-Old Woman Robbed on Street

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help, identifying the person seen in the attached photo and video who is sought in connection to the robbery of a 77-year-old woman in Bedford Park.

Police said that on Tuesday, Nov, 8, at around 8.20 hours, a 77-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of Decatur Avenue and East 201st Street when a person unknown to her approached her. They said the person snatched her purse before fleeing northbound on East Mosholu Parkway South on foot.

“The victim’s purse contained a cellphone, wallet, keys and identification documents,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim did not sustain any [physical] injuries as a result of this incident,” the police spokesperson added.

As reported, a 77-year-old woman was also robbed inside her apartment building in Norwood on Nov. 18.
