The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the elderly, Hispanic woman seen in the attached photo. On Wednesday, July 7, the woman was transported by ambulance in stable condition and uninjured from the vicinity of 9 Fordham Hill Oval in Fordham Manor to New York-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital for evaluation. A security guard at Fordham Hill told Norwood News the woman walked through the pictured security gates. She is 5 foot, 3 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds and speaks Spanish. Police have made a further arrest in the murder case of Katherine Diop, 29, who was killed in Fordham Manor in June 2021. As previously reported, on Wednesday, June 16, at approximately 11.24 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at East 194th Street and Marion Avenue, in Fordham Manor, in the 52nd precinct. Police have made an arrest following the fatal shooting in July of 13-year-old Jaryan Elliot in Belmont. Police responded to a 911 call regarding a person who had been shot in front of 743 East 187th Street in Belmont, in the 48th precinct, on Sunday, July 11, at approximately 3.18 p.m. Upon arrival, police observed a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his chest and leg.
