Police said they have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a 41-year-old man in the Claremont section of The Bronx on Feb. 10. As reported, they said that on Tuesday, Feb 10, at around 2.56 p.m., officers from the 44th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot inside the 170th Street subway station, serving the D/B trains.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 41-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds about the body,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.”
Police said there were no initial arrests, and the investigation remained ongoing. The deceased was later identified as Adrian Dawodu, 41, of Harlem.

On Friday, Feb. 13, police appealed to the public for help locating Alberto Frias, 27, who they said was sought for questioning in connection with a shooting, and released some photos of him (attached).
On Thursday, Feb. 19, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said Frias, from the Mt. Eden section of The Bronx, was arrested the same day at 9.30 a.m. within the confines of the 44th Precinct.
They said he was charged with murder, manslaughter, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
