Police said that on Thursday, Jan. 29, at around 5.45 p.m. inside Kingsbridge Road subway station, a 40-year-old male victim was approached by an unknown male who struck the victim in the face with a baseball bat multiple times. We asked the NYPD if the assault took place in the station serving the D train or the 4 train. They confirmed it was the station serving the D train.

They said the victim sustained injuries to the face and was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition and the suspect fled the location on foot to parts unknown.

The suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, a brown hooded sweatshirt, green pants, and a black baseball cap.
