Kingsbridge Heights: Body Recovered from Jerome Park Reservoir

Police said that a body was recovered from the Jerome Park Reservoir in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx on Tuesday, May 20.

 

A police spokesperson said that at around 5.27 p.m. police responded to a 911 call reporting an unconscious and unresponsive male in the water inside the Jerome Park Reservoir, located in the 50th Precinct.

“The NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit responded to the scene and removed the unidentified male from the water,” th spokesperson said. “EMS pronounced the male deceased on scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the death. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.”

A helicopter was seen circling the area on the day of the discovery.

 

We also reached out to FDNY/EMS for any additional details and a spokesperson said the department received a call at 5.28 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of a body floating in the water at 999 Jerome Park Reservoir.

They said one person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
