The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted in connection with a menacing incident that occurred in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.
Police said that on Sunday, Jan. 11, at approximately 4.15 p.m. at the intersection of East 232nd Street and White Plains Road, a 40-year-old male victim was involved in a traffic dispute with the unidentified person who, they said, displayed a gun and threatened the victim. They said he also displayed a knife and slashed all four of the victim’s tires.
“The individual then fled the location in a gray Ford Explorer traveling westbound on East 232 Street to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident, police said.
They said the suspect is described as male and was last seen wearing a white jacket, white sweatpants, and tan boots.
On Sunday, March 8, police said that pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Kevin Dawkins, 31.
