Van Cortlandt Village: Police Appeal for Help Locating Two Sought for Robbery

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in this video who they say are wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred at the southeast corner of Cannon Place and Orloff Avenue in the Van Cortlandt Village section of the Bronx on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached video and photo who they say are wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred the Van Cortlandt Village section of the Bronx.

 

Police said that on Thursday, June 5, at around 8 p.m. at the southeast corner of Cannon Place and Orloff Avenue, a 62-year-old female victim was approached by two unidentified people, one of whom approached her from behind and stole her chain from around her neck. They said both suspects fled westbound on West 238th Street on a moped and the victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

They said the first person sought is described as male, has a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.

 

They said the second suspect is also described as male, has a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, and a pink baseball cap.
