This week, we asked readers for their opinion on the Jeffrey “Epstein files” currently under review by the U.S. Department of Justice and whether they believe the files will ever be released in their entirety to the American public.

On Dec. 9, the Associated Press and other outlets reported that a federal judge granted a request to unseal the Ghislaine Maxwell case records. The BBC reported that Maxwell, Epstein’s partner, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence having been convicted in 2021 for her role in luring underage girls for Epstein to sexually exploit.

Epstein died in prison in 2019. Maxwell had unsuccessfully appealed the conviction and sentence. Hr only remaining option now according to media reports is a potential presidential pardon from U.S. President Donald Trump.

“In my opinion, I don’t think the entire Epstein files will ever be made public, and I think that we have a dirty government. I don’t have any faith in the current government we have now, not with [U.S. President Donald] Trump at all. Yes, we must vote him out.”

“No, I don’t think the Epstein files will ever become public because too many people will go down and if the files are made public, a lot of political people, and a lot of people in high positions are in the Epstein files. I’m dying to see who’s in it and what it’s about, but I don’t think we’ll ever see it. The reason why we won’t see it is because it involves the biggest people at the biggest corporations who are in the Epstein files, so they’re not going to let it get out. I’ve never heard of a story or a case that has dragged on for so long. It’s something we really have to push forward for, and the public should ask the president, but maybe the president is a part of it too so we may not learn everything because of that.”

“I think the Epstein files will be made public but it’s going to take time. We still don’t know exactly what happened with him [Epstein] but in my opinion, it will come out soon, yeah. I think a lot of people will be held accountable and the whole scandal surrounding Jeffery Epstein will be made available to the public.”

“They are being made public as Congress already voted to make it public. I’m sure he [U.S. President Donald Trump] is involved and I’m sure others in both parties are involved. In terms of him, this is far from being the worst thing that he ever did. He is the first serious criminal to occupy the White House. For example, I hear the Georgia case is being thrown out. They had him dead to right. The fraud case brought by [New York Attorney General] Leticia James, all the locker room talk involving women before the first election; he got away with all of it.”

“I think it is extremely important to understand that human suffering has no political brands or economic interests. The Epstein files are about the victims, plain and simple. [U.S. President Donald] Trump can say whatever he wants to say, his actions are brutally clear, and without any hesitation; they are a reflection of his character.”
