After appealing for the public’s help in locating the parents or guardian of an unidentified child found in Fordham Manor, police said on Tuesday, Feb. 3, the young girl has been reunited with her family.
Police said that on Monday, Feb. 2, at around 10.23 p.m. in front of 36 West Fordham Road, an unidentified young girl was found without any adult accompanying her. They said she was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/ North Central Bronx in Norwood in stable condition.

Police described the child as female, and said she was estimated to be between 10 and 13 years old of age, had a medium complexion, was 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighed around 80 pounds. They said she was found wearing a pink sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sandals.
Asked if the child spoke English, or perhaps Spanish, Norwood News was informed by police that she was non verbal. On Feb. 3, as above, police said the child was reunited with her family.
