The NYPD said they have made an arrest in the case of an attempted rape that occurred in Fordham Heights. They had been searching for the person seen in the attached photo who they said had been sought for questioning in connection to the incident.
As reported, police said that on Friday, April 18, at around 1 p.m., in the vicinity of Creston Avenue and East 184th Street, an unidentified man approached a 70-year-old female victim from behind and attempted to rape her. They added, “The male individual fled on foot to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.”
Police said the suspect was described as male, is around 6 feet tall, weighs around 165 pounds, has long, gray hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt.

On Tuesday, April 22, police said Oswaldo Ramos, 50, of Fordham Heights, The Bronx was arrested on Sunday, April 20, in the 48th Precinct, which covers the Bronx neighborhoods of Belmont, East Tremont, and West Farms, and also incorporates Fordham University.
They said he was charged with attempted rape in the first degree and first degree burglary.
