University Heights: Man Sought for Attempted Murder of Woman in Morning Street Shooting

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo who they said is wanted in connection with an attempted murder that occurred in the University Heights section of The Bronx. 

Police said that on Friday, May 9, at around 9 a.m. in front of 21 West 183rd Street, an unidentified male approached a 32-year-old female victim from behind and pointed a firearm at the back of her head. They said the suspect discharged his gun but did not strike the victim and then fled on foot southbound on Davidson Avenue.

 

They said EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition to be treated for injuries she sustained when she fell to the ground and struck her head. They said the person sought is described as male, has a dark complexion, is six feet tall, and weighs around 200 pounds.
