Woodlawn Heights: Search for Man following Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who is sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Woodlawn Heights.   A police spokesperson said the incident took place on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 8.22 p.m. at the corner of Katonah Avenue and East 235th Street, where the unidentified male suspect met a 29-year-old male victim at the location. “The male expressed interest on Facebook market to purchase the victim’s Apple MacBook,” the spokesperson said. “Upon meeting at the location, the victim showed the suspect the MacBook but the suspect grabbed

History Breathes at Woodlawn Scavenger Hunt

Chipmunks were not the only creatures scurrying among the headstones and fall leaves at Woodlawn Cemetery on Sept. 26. Dozens of people of all ages enthusiastically competed in the “Great Woodlawn Cemetery Scavenger Hunt,” sponsored by Women of Woodlawn and the Historic Districts Council of New York City (HDC).  Proceeds were donated to Woodlawn Conservancy.
