The family of a young New Jersey man are offering a reward of up to $5,000 to help find him. It has been 6 weeks, as reported, since Emilio Acosta left his family home in New Jersey in the middle of the night and disappeared, his family said.

They said the 20-year old was last seen on camera footage at a gas station in Secaucus, New Jersey on Dec. 18, 2025, and law enforcement, friends and family have been searching for him since then. They are appealing once again to the public for help.

They said Acosta left home without any identification and without any needed medication, adding that he could be a danger to himself and others.

His family said the reward of up to $5,000 is available to anyone who provides CREDIBLE information that leads to the safe return of Acosta. They said information can be submitted anonymously, and those with information should contact Weehawken, NJ Police Department at (201) 863-7800.

They said Acosta is a graduate of Weehawken High School, and attended classes at Hudson County Community College in the past few years, and at the University of Pittsburgh.

“We are grateful to law enforcement for their assistance, especially the Weehawken Police Department and our friends and neighbors for all the help they have provided and continue to provide to us,” said Ilde Acosta, Emilio’s father.  “We know he could potentially be with someone, we just want to know he’s okay and alive. The unknown is heart breaking! Emilio is a great young man, it’s agonizing not to know where he is!”
