City Employee Arrested in the Bronx

On Wednesday November 18, 2020, at approximately 11 a.m., an off-duty New York City employee was arrested in the 45th precinct in the Bronx. The precinct covers Co-op City and City Island. Christopher Orere, 36, from the Administration for Children’s Services was arrested and charged with assault and harassment.

Before Brianna Lopez turned 19, she decided to make a written record of her experiences during her last year as a teenager. In doing so, she decided that she wouldn’t hold back from sharing the ups and downs, the happy and sad times, the darkness and the hope she felt on the cusp of adulthood. On Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 at approximately 2.20 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot in front of 341 East 194th Street, in the 52nd precinct. A preliminary investigation determined that a 36-year-old man was shot in the torso by an unknown individual at the location, and was transported via private means to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
