Norwood News received a report of a fire at 50 E 212th Street in Norwood on Saturday, March 5.   Verified video from the Citizen’s App shows at least one fire truck on the street intersecting with Rochambeau Avenue in the neighborhood.   We reached out to the FDNY for more information, and a fire department official confirmed that the alert was raised at 5.08 p.m. on Saturday at the referenced location due to the smell of smoke. Norwood: Man Sought for Assault of 36-Year-Old Woman Inside Apartment

Police are searching for an assailant who is wanted in connection with an assault of a woman which took place inside a Norwood residential building.   According to police officials, officers from the 52nd precinct were called to a four-story building at 371 East 204th Street at Webster Avenue, at 12:40 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. Norwood: Students and Staff Evacuated following Bomb Alert at P.S. 20

  Students and teachers were evacuated from P.S. 20 in the Norwood section of the Bronx on Friday, March 4, due to a reported bomb threat. UPDATE Woodlawn: Search for Man Who Punched Woman in Face

The NYPD is investigating an assault on a woman at Woodlawn subway station.   It was reported to police that on Monday, Feb. 28, at 7.12 a.m., the victim, a 46-year-old woman, was walking down the stairs to the Woodlawn subway station when a man in front of her turned around and punched her in the face.
