Norwood: Man Arrested following Lewd Act in Subway Station

The NYPD said they’ve arrested a 33-year-old man in relation to a lewd act which took place in Norwood in October. Police had been asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo and video who they said was wanted in connection with the incident that occurred in Norwood.

 

Police said that on Monday, Oct. 13, at around 00.58 a.m., a 45-year-old woman was exiting the 205th Street-Norwood subway station when she observed an unidentified person performing a lewd act. They said the person then fled the station to parts unknown and no injuries were reported.

 

Police said the suspect was described as male, had a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, a dark colored sweater, black pants, and black sneakers.

 

On Dec. 25, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said Jayquan Williams, 33, from the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx had been arrested earlier that day at 9.15 a.m. within the confines of the 44th Precinct, which serves the Grand Concourse, Bronx Terminal Market, and Yankee Stadium.

They said he was charged with public lewdness. He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
