Kingsbridge Heights: 60-Year-Old Man Found Deceased with Head Trauma inside Deegan Motel

The NYPD said a 60-year-old man has been found deceased in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx.

 

A police spokesperson said that on Friday, Aug. 1, at around 2.35 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious male inside 3600 Bailey Avenue, the address of the Deegan Motel.

 

“Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 60-year-old male lying on the floor with trauma to his head,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased on scene. The Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.”

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification. We asked the NYPD if the death was being treated as suspicious and they said it was uncategorized and still under investigation. We will share any further updates we receive.
