Upon arrival, police discovered an unconscious and unresponsive 36-year-old woman. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The identity of the deceased had been pending family notification and the investigation had been on-going. On Monday, Dec. 21, the NYPD confirmed that the deceased was identified as Brizjel Kemp, 36, of 85 Linhone Drive, West Henrietta in New York State.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police also confirmed on Dec. 21 that Barron George, 38, of Kingsland Avenue in the Bronx, was arrested and charged on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at 7.43 p.m. in the 47th precinct with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

The NY Daily News reported that reviewers on Yelp had previously described the hotel as “very seedy.”
