Fordham Manor: Man Stabbed on Valentine Avenue in Stable Condition

Police are looking for two men wanted in connection with a stabbing reported in front of 2527 Valentine Avenue, between East 196th Street and East Fordham Road on Tuesday, April 18.   Police officials say the 28-year-old male victim was walking southbound at 2.25 a.m. when he was approached and stabbed by two assailants. Man Arrested for Bronx Brick Attack during Passover as Elected Officials Step Up Efforts to Curb Hate Crimes

Police said a 29-year-old man from Pelham Parkway has been arrested on hate crime and other charges for tossing a brick through the window of his neighbor’s building during the Passover holiday on April 7, as reported.   Upon investigation, police attributed the attack to the fact that the victim, longtime Matthews Avenue resident Rochelle Shapiro, had displayed an Israeli flag and a pro-Israel sign in the window.   Concourse Village Elementary School held a memorial ceremony for former student Angellyh Yambo on March 30 during which the school’s art room, a place she loved to hang out, was dedicated to her. The former student, who spent much of her youth in Kingsbridge Heights, was tragically killed in broad daylight as she walked home from school with friends in Mott Haven on April 8, 2022. Bronx District Attorney Hosts Child Safety Fair in Edenwald

Hundreds of Bronxites turned out for the 6th Annual Child Safety Fair hosted by the Office of Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark, held at the Baychester Community Center, located at 1220 East 229th Street in Edenwald on Saturday, April 15.   Outside the community center the NYPD shutdown Schieffelin Avenue where a basketball station and a bouncy house was set up for the daylong event.   The New York City Police Department said a 15-year-old girl reported missing from Bedford Park has been located.   Prior to being located, police said Esmaylin Soriano, of Decatur Avenue had last been seen on Monday, May 1, at around 7 a.m., leaving her home. Mechanic Charged with Negligent Homicide in Fatal Bronx 6-Story Elevator Plunge, Crushing Co-Worker

  Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced on Tuesday, May 2, that a mechanic has been charged with criminally negligent homicide of his 25-year-old apprentice co-worker, for failing to implement critical safety features, which led to an elevator collapse in a building in the Mt.
