BDCC Dinner What a night at the Bronx Democratic County Committee (BDCC) dinner July 16 at Marina del Rey in Throggs Neck! The political intrigue was kicked up a notch not because of the soiree’s numbers or the bevy of lobbyists and unions in attendance (labor unions were well represented, given all the hootin’ and hollerin’), but from feuding politicos, Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Governor Andrew Cuomo, who made scheduled appearances, though the two coincidentally did not cross paths.
By DAVID CRUZ Sepulveda It comes with a heavy heart that we hear that Bob “Kappy” Kappstatter, former longtime editor and political columnist of the Daily News and most recently The Bronx Times Reporter, has joined the “Dark Side”–public relations. Now a political and media consultant, his first client is Parkchester Assemblyman Luis Sepulveda. Kappy sounds happy in his new role. “After years on being on one side of the fence, it’s now kind of fascinating to be on the inside, and hopefully doing some good.” Good luck Kappy.

By DAVID CRUZ Across Norwood and beyond, the search for parking remains an everyday scourge for thousands of drivers.  Neighbors and employees around the various stores and two local hospitals rely on parking daily, though searching for a legal spot can cut into the workday. Residents have long complained it can take upwards to a half hour to locate a spot.

CB7 Highlights Year of Activities With Newsletter
