The public is invited to the 30th anniversary celebration of publication of the Norwood News on Nov. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lehman College’s Faculty Dining Hall in the Music Building, 250 Bedford Pk. Out & About: Free Fall Festival on Jerome

 The public is invited to the Jerome Gun Hill BID’s 17th annual free Fall Festival, Oct. 13 from noon to 6 p.m. on Jerome Avenue between East Mosholu Parkway North and East Gun Hill Road. A Career Change Later, a Bedford Park Bakery Opens

Angel Espinal opened Confectionaires, a new bakery at 2961 Webster Ave. and Bedford Park Boulevard, on Aug. 11. For Espinal, the bakery — which serves up a wide-ranging menu of fresh baked pastries, cakes, breads and coffee — is a second career of sorts.
