Police confirm that a man’s bike was stolen and that he was threatened with a bat in Mount Eden at around 2.45 p.m. on Sunday, 3 May. The incident occurred at East 170th Street and Grant Street. Police and EMS responded to reports of an armed barricade at 1870 Andrews Ave S. in Morris Heights on May 1 at around 2:44 p.m. Police later reported that the suspect had taken hostages. By 3:00 p.m., police reported that the situation had been brought under control. The 35-year-old suspect was taken into police custody.
