Bronx Notes: Santa Coming to E. 204th St. Saturday

On Saturday, Dec. 15 from noon to 3 p.m., Santa will be giving small gifts away to all the good children from the area at Leroy Pharmacy, 314 E. 204th St. in Norwood. Leroy provided free food for 20-plus volunteers who helped wrap the gifts on Dec. 8. “I enjoy seeing families happy and sharing the spirit of the holidays,” says Jay Dhaduk, RPH, of Leroy Pharmacy. “We are proud to be in this neighborhood for over 20 years.”

Longtime Resident Shot and Killed on Decatur Ave.

A popular Norwood man was shot and killed during an early Sunday morning dispute on Decatur Avenue, just two blocks from his home.

Remembering Lydia ‘Nena’ Stephen, ‘Warrior Princess’

Lydia Stephens, otherwise known as “Nena,” the brave 10-year-old Bronx girl profiled in the Nov. 29-Dec. 12 print edition of the Norwood News, died last night after a long fight against cancer. She will be missed. Below are some of the comments generated on this website after we posted her story online.
