Assemblyman Victor Pichardo has earmarked $3 million in capital funds for roof repairs at the Bailey Houses, a troubled NYCHA building in Kingsbridge. CB7 Strongly Condemns CAMBA Housing Plan in Bedford Park

Community Board 7 rejected a plan by a social services developer to build two buildings on properties where single homes once existed. The rejection opens the possibility the developer to drastically alter the buildings. Pair of Buildings, 229 Total Units, Could Change Bedford Park Landscape

In the coming months, affordable housing construction on two developments will begin in Bedford Park. The Bedford Mosholu Community Association (BMCA) discussed these projects coming to the neighborhood at their monthly meeting on Nov. 7. “Unfortunately, we’re losing a lot of our private homes in the area,” said Barbara Stronczer, BMCA president, at the latest meeting.
