A 39-year old man has been hospitalized following an auto-theft and police-involved shooting in the Mt Hope section of The Bronx, police said. NYPD Chief of Department, Chief Jeffrey Maddrey, Chief John Chell, chief of patrol, and other senior officials from Patrol Borough Manhattan North, Patrol Borough Bronx and the 44th Precinct, gave a press conference in the early hours of Sunday morning, Dec. 4, to share details of the incident. University Heights: Suspect Sought in Non-Fatal Shooting, Victim Struck in Head Area

Officials from the 52nd Precinct are calling on the public to help with an investigation into a non-fatal shooting incident in University Heights.   They said the incident occurred on Nov. 26 at around 2:24 a.m. opposite 138 West Fordham Road. Police said a suspect shot and struck a victim in the head area before fleeing in the pictured vehicle.   A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information in relation to the incident.    Residents are asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS with any information they may have.
