A crowd of more than 200 community residents turned out for a public safety forum organized by Congressman Adriano Espaillat of the 13th Congressional District and held on April 3 at Our Lady of Refuge Church on East 196th Street in Bedford Park. Two men are wanted for questioning in a case involving a stolen $8,000 watch from a Fordham jewelry store. Police say the theft happened on Feb. 19 at around 3:45 p.m. They say one of the suspects was inside 13 W. Fordham Rd. looking at a watch. Once the suspect was allowed to look at the watch, the employee let the suspect’s accomplice inside. With the recent school shooting in Florida, we asked readers if such a tragedy could happen here. To be honest, it is possible because people get bullied a lot. I’d heard about the student who stabbed two students here in the Bronx and the killer was actually bullied. So it is possible. The victims of bullying like to take things into their own hands. A 21-year-old man from the Bedford Park section of the Bronx has been reported missing for several days. Mohammed T. Hossain was last seen on Feb. 21 at the area of Mosholu Parkway North and Bainbridge Avenue at around 5 p.m., according to police. He was last seen wearing a black coat, a black hooded sweater, blue jeans and black and yellow sneakers. He stands at 5′ 5″ tall, weighs 110 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair.
