Three masked men barged into a Norwood deli in a brazen robbery that took place during the overnight hours of Oct. 14. One Legend Deli at 275 E. Gun Hill Rd. was robbed at gunpoint for $1,100, according to police. One of the men, holding a handgun, demanded cash from the employee behind the register. While one of the other men tied up two other employees. The third suspect made his way behind the counter and took cash from the register and stuffed it into a backpack. Shake, rob, and roll. A suspect (photo left) is wanted robbing a teen of his wallet, cell phone and forcing him to buy a shake at a store in Bedford Park on Oct. 10. The suspect, caught on video, approached the 19-year-old victim claiming to carry a knife as he put his hand in his pocket. The NYPD will host a gun buyback program on Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following drop-site locations: Mitchell Community Center, 210 Alexander Ave., and Holy Spirit Church, 1940 University Ave. Anyone turning in a handgun or assault rifle in working condition will receive a $200 pre-paid gift card, and a $25 pre-paid gift card in exchange for rifles, shotguns, and airguns. Cops Search for Two Suspects in Separate Assault-Robbery Cases

A cell phone robbery and a daytime stabbing are what cops at the 52nd Precinct are tackling and in need of the public’s help. Police say a 45-year-old woman was robbed of her Samsung Note 8 cellphone at the East 205th Street D station while waiting for D train in Norwood on Sept 23, at 5:30 a.m. The victim was using her phone on a bench when a man she didn’t know approached and forcibly tried to strip the device from her. A Norwood resident died in a hit-and-run accident on Sept 30 between Jerome Avenue and East 233rd Street, near the Major Deegan Expressway. Another Norwood resident has been charged with manslaughter in the driver’s death. The mother of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz and City Councilman Ritchie Torres announced that a cease and desist letter from the state has been sent to a known con-artist who posed as a government official in an attempt to defraud Junior’s family.
