NYPD Commanding Officer Quits Over Police Reform

  NYPD police officers filled Ryer Avenue as Commanding Officer Deputy Inspector Richard Brea walked out of the 46th precinct for the last time on Friday, June 26. Brea resigned from the NYPD after 28 years in protest over recent police reforms, including the disbanding of the anti-crime unit.   On Thursday, July 11 Mayor Bill de Blasio joined Black Lives Matter (BLM) supporters in painting the now-famous Black Lives Matter words in giant yellow letters outside Trump Tower on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue.   On seeing the group on television paint the street outside his former residence, President Donald Trump called the BLM words “a symbol of hate”. West Bronx: NYPD Sergeant Arrested in “Family Fight”

On Friday, Jul. 10, 2020 at 11:59 p.m., Andy Rollins, 38, an off-duty New York Police Department sergeant was arrested and charged with assault in the West Bronx within the confines of the 46th precinct.   The New York Post reported that the arrest occurred following an argument of “unknown origin” according to authorities and that an NYPD spokesperson said it was “a family fight”, with the victim suffering “bruises and scratches”.

Fordham: NYPD Appeal to Identify Individuals in Connection With Burglary

  The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached photographs in connection to a commercial burglary which took place within the confines of the 52nd precinct.   On Wednesday, Jul. 8, 2020 at approximately 3:37 a.m., inside 263 East Fordham Road (Foot Action), four males gained entry to the location by forcibly breaking the rear door lock.
