Morris Heights: Two Male Victims Shot, One Dies

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a male who had been shot at 65 Featherbed Lane in Morris Heights, in the 46th precinct, on Wednesday, May 12, at approximately 4.53 a.m.   Upon arrival on the third floor of the building, officers observed two aided males; a 61-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the stomach, and a 21-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head.   The 61-year-old was transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The 21-year-old was transported by EMS to BronxCare Health System, where he was pronounced deceased.

Norwood: 18-Year-Old Robbed

The NYPD report that a robbery occurred on Sunday, May 9, at 10.26 p.m. at the corner of Steuben Avenue and 208th Street in Norwood, in the 52nd precinct.   A 18-year-old male youth reported to police that unidentified individuals approached him and removed his electric bike and approximately $60, before fleeing the scene. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident. Police Appeal for Help with 2013 Double-Homicide Investigation, following Fire

The New York City Police Department has launched a fresh appeal for the public’s assistance in providing any potentially helpful information regarding a double homicide investigation that occurred in 2013, following a fire in the 43rd precinct.   On Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11.04 a.m., police officers responded to a 911 call regarding a residential fire inside 2045 Story Avenue in the Unionport section of The Bronx, in the 43rd precinct. After the fire was extinguished, 24-year-old, Jonathan Toribio, and 24-year-old, Kennedy Sanchez, were discovered with both stab and burn wounds.
