Norwood News has received an as yet unconfirmed report of a slashing in Fordham Heights.   Users of the Citizens’ app posted an unverified video on Saturday, March 19, at around 4.30 p.m., reportedly showing police and FDNY/EMS presence in the vicinity of Tiebout Avenue and East Fordham Road in or around that time, reportedly following an alleged slashing of a man in the back, with a suspect having allegedly fled the scene, armed with a knife.   Norwood News contacted the NYPD to corroborate the incident. Fordham Manor: Woman Hospitalized following Hit & Run Incident

The NYPD said a woman was brought to an area hospital after being hit by a vehicle in a hit and run incident which occurred on the border of the Fordham Manor and Fordham Heights neighborhoods.   Police responded to a 911 call at around 1.45 p.m. on Friday, March 18, following a report that a woman had been knocked down by a vehicle at East 188th Street and East Fordham Road. UPDATE Williamsbridge: 26-Year-Old Man Dies following Shooting

Police have released a photo and video of a person of interest, sought for questioning following the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx.   As reported, on Friday, March 18, at approximately 1.31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided person at 3559 Holland Avenue in Williamsbridge. Upon arrival, officers observed a 26-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso.   EMS responded and transported the man to Jacobi Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Fordham Manor: Search for Man following Assault & Robbery of Two Women

    The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached video and photos who is sought for questioning in connection to a robbery that occurred in Fordham Manor. On Saturday, Feb. 19, at approximately 10 p.m., police said two 67-year-old women invited an unidentified man to their apartment, located in the vicinity of Grand Concourse and East Kingsbridge Road. Fordham Heights: Man Sought following Robbery & Assault of 53-Year-Old Man

Tremont: Police Release Video of Person of Interest following Fatal Shooting

UPDATE Norwood: 17-Year-Old Shot, Taken to Jacobi Hospital

The NYPD confirm a 17-year-old male was shot in Norwood on Tuesday, March 15.   The incident was reported at around 8 p.m. at 3366 Decatur Avenue. The youth was shot in the leg and brought to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.
