Bronx Teen Charged with Murder of 16-Year-Old Angellyh Yambo & Wounding of Two Other Students

  Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. NYPD Officer Arrested for Leaving Scene of Accident

An NYPD police officer has been arrested following an accident which occurred in the 50th precinct which covers the neighborhoods of Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, Spuyten Duyvil, Riverdale and Fieldston, including Wave Hill, a historic mansion and garden overlooking the Hudson River, and Van Cortlandt Park, one of the largest parks in New York City.   Police said on Wednesday, May 11, at approximately 5.40 a.m., off-duty police officer, Luis Tejada, 25,  was arrested and charged in relation to an accident during which the officer left the scene and made a false report regarding the incident.   Norwood News followed up

Bronx Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Soundview School Slashings Amid DV Incident

Mott Haven: 27-Year-Old Man Dies following Park Shooting

  Police said a 27-year-old man has died in Mott Haven, following a gunshot wound to the head.   On Saturday, May 14, at around 2 a.m., police said they responded to a call regarding a person who had been shot inside Joyce Kilmer Park, located at the corner of East 161st Street and the Grand Concourse.   Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, unconscious and unresponsive. Castle Hill: 62-Year-Old Woman Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Van

A 62-year-old woman has died following a traffic accident in Castle Hill.   On Saturday, May 14, at approximately 11.02 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit at Olmstead Avenue and Seward Avenue, in the 43rd precinct.
