UPDATE: Michael Deloach, the DEP Deputy Commissioner for Public Affairs & Communications, spoke at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Croton Facility Monitoring Committee on Tuesday night and addressed resident complaints of water taste and smell. Three masked men barged into a Norwood deli in a brazen robbery that took place during the overnight hours of Oct. 14. One Legend Deli at 275 E. Gun Hill Rd. was robbed at gunpoint for $1,100, according to police. One of the men, holding a handgun, demanded cash from the employee behind the register. Shake, rob, and roll. A suspect (photo left) is wanted robbing a teen of his wallet, cell phone and forcing him to buy a shake at a store in Bedford Park on Oct. 10. The suspect, caught on video, approached the 19-year-old victim claiming to carry a knife as he put his hand in his pocket. A nursing assistant enjoying the “Weekend Walks” festival in Norwood on Sept. 29 with her two young children—put her medical skills to work after a volunteer suffered a seizure. The victim, later identified as longtime Norwood resident Allen Peisel, 49, collapsed in the closed-down roadway of East 204th Street and Decatur Avenue in front of Star Furniture, sometime before 3 p.m. Maria Colon, a nursing assistant at Saint Patrick’s Nursing Home on Van Cortlandt Park South, was with her two kids when she saw Peisel falling down and convulsing.
