Crime File: Push-In Robbers Wanted in Bedford Park

Push-In Robbery Two armed men are wanted for forcing their way into an apartment in Bedford Park, tying up the victims, and burning one of them with an iron. Police said this happened at 1 p.m. inside 400 E. Mosholu Pkwy. S. on Oct. 13. The victims, a 33-year-old woman and 45-year-old man, were tied with shoe laces, and pressed for money, which they did not give up. The men then took off, taking the victims’ cell phones with them. Vaping-Related Death in Bx. A Bronx teen has died from a vaping-related illness, marking the first such death in the state, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo, who has taken up the issue of vaping, announced the death at a news conference. “This vaping is a public health crisis. It is affecting our young people. It has been marketed to young people,” Cuomo told reporters. The teen was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center after he became ill, according to published reports.
