Fordham Manor – Female Falls To Ground Amid Altercation

On Sunday, May 24, 2020 police responded to a complaint of an incident at 15:20 p.m. at 2705 Marion Avenue in the Fordham Manor area of the Bronx, within the confines of the 52nd  precinct. A 29-year-old male reported to police that a 35-year-old female, who was in possession of a knife and who was making verbal threats, climbed the fire escape and began to hit the window.   The glass window cracked and a 29-year-old male opened the window and grabbed the knife. The female fell to the ground. EMS responded and removed the female to St. Barnabas hospital

Fordham Manor: 18-Year-Old Male Shot During Dispute on Sunday, May 24

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at approximately 23:14 p.m. in the vicinity of West 190th Street and Webb Avenue, in the Fordham Manor area of the Bronx, within the confines of the 52nd precinct.   Upon arrival at the scene, officers were informed that an 18-year-old male victim was shot during a verbal dispute. EMS transported the victim, who was in a stable condition, to St. Barnabas Hospital.   No description is available for the shooter and the investigation remains ongoing.   Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s

Alternate Side Parking Suspended from May 24 through June 7

Alternate Side Parking will be suspended once again starting tomorrow Sunday, 24 May in accordance with the Alternate Side Parking calendar which takes into account religious holidays such as Idul-Fitr (Eid Al-Fitr).   Regulation resumed again on May 22 and continues through today May 23 while a citywide clean sweep is in effect. Bronx Hospitals Lead Nationwide Investigative Drug Trial For Severe Lung Inflammation From COVID-19

  Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine announced on May 21 that they were the first sites in the nation to begin evaluating an investigational drug in two separate, FDA-approved trials: one to treat mild-to-moderate cases of COVID-19, and the other to treat severely ill COVID-19 patients.   Doctors are hopeful that the drug being trialled, leronlimab, may prevent an inflammatory condition that fatally damages the lungs and other organs in many COVID-19 patients.   Both hospitals were also the first sites in New York State to begin trials of the drug, remdesivir, in COVID-19 patients, as

Dental Assistants Forced to Treat COVID-19 Patients, then Terminated, Cancel Planned Protest On May 22
