Bronx Notes: Training for Displaced Homemakers

Bronx Community College offers men and women who meet eligibility requirements under the Displaced Homemakers Act, a free four-week Excel training course as a part of the Displaced Homemakers Program. Classes start the second week of August at BCC’s Gould Residence Hall, room 309, 2155 University Ave. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive further assistance in their job search. The Youth Advisory Board of the Bronx District Public Health Office, 1826 Arthur Ave., is offering free public health training for teens on Fridays in July and August from noon to 4 p.m., including sexual health, physical activity, and nutrition.
